Our Agricultural Service Technicians reports into our Service Managers and are the key to us ensuring we provide excellent customer service and keep our customers machinery and investments moving. The role is split between time in our state-of-the-art workshop and out in the field (literally) repairing, servicing and maintaining our customers machinery. You will be an experienced engineer ideally working in a dealer franchised environment on John Deere or similar machinery. You must have experience working with tractors, sprayers and/or combines however full LTA training is available.
Our Part’s Advisors report into the Part’s Manager and play a central role in our mission to provide excellent customer experiences. Our part’s department is a busy place from servicing customers to ensuring our stock is correct, there is never a dull day. Excellent customer service is a must, regardless of the customer, we expect all our customers to get the same outstanding levels of customer service. In addition to customer facing duties this role may also spend time supporting the set out of the retail store and conducting stock takes. Customers don’t just mean our external customers, our Parts Advisors support the workshop and ensure that the correct parts are available when jobs are undertaken, working with our colleagues to identify parts, pick parts from stock and/or order parts as required. The right person will have experience in an agriculture, construction or garden equipment parts department and personify our commit to excellent customer experiences. You will develop an excellent working knowledge of our products mainly John Deere products and using the tools provided be able to answer the customers queries.
Our yard operative keeps our depot running, responsible for a wide variety of tasks in the yard / depot; the day is always varied. Whether you’re moving equipment for deliveries on the trailer or cutting the grass no two days are ever the same. The role will mainly focus on work at the depot including maintenance of the depot and grounds, ensuring all machinery is ready for sale and delivery as well as running collections and deliveries between depots or for customers.
Our Crop Storage Specialist is a brand new and exciting role in our Crop Storage Department. This role is part project manager and part CAD designer, taking projects from initial conception right through to delivery for the customers. In addition, the role blends in elements of sales from understanding the requirements, building the quote through to signing the agreements for the project. Once the project has been agreed you will work with the customer, suppliers and other third parties to deliver the project on time, on budget and to the highest quality standards. You will be responsible for all activities onsite for these projects including our own engineers as well as sub-contractors appointed to the project. You will also liaise with relevant government bodies including planning and building control to ensure projects are in-line with regulations and requirements.
Our Workshop Lead reports to the Service Manager and is accountable for leading the workshop technician team on a day to day basis. In addition to the roles core focus of the workshop people, this role also supports the Service Manager in the smooth wider operations of the Service department including supporting with customers, administration and planning. You will be expected to keep your skills up to date by carrying out work from time to time.
Our Area Sales Managers report into the Group Commercial Manager and is reasonable for delivering new business and existing business sales from a portfolio of brands. Through carefully managing the relationship and matching the right products / services to the customers’ needs you achieve your sales target whilst delivering the exceptional Ben Burgess customer experience our customers except and maintaining profitability. This is a field sales role and as a result you will spend most of your working day either out on site, visiting customers or building new relationships with prospective customers, a company vehicle is provided. This role encompasses the whole sales cycle from creating new leads / opportunities right through to customer delivery and follow up.
