Carrying Hope Forward – Ben Burgess Supports ‘The Baton of Hope’ in Norwich

Ben Burgess was proud to support The Baton of Hope, the UK’s largest suicide prevention initiative, by facilitating its first leg in Norwich. The Baton of Hope campaign travels nationwide to raise awareness of suicide prevention and promote mental health support across communities.

The Norwich launch took place at the Norfolk Showground, where Lady Dannatt, Norfolk’s first female Lord Lieutenant, formally received the baton from founder Mike McCarthy. The baton was then passed to the first Baton Bearer and transported by the trusted 6R 185.

The event was attended by members of the rural and farming community, alongside local organisations including YANA, FCN, Mind, Papyrus, and Norwich Samaritans. Ben Burgess was honoured to support an initiative that fostered open conversations about mental health within the agricultural sector, where such discussions are crucial.
