Obituary of Steve Trostler
16 April 2019 Ben Burgess News
Steve Trostler, 66 of Kettering, died unexpectedly in a road traffic accident on 3rd April on his way home from work.
Steve was born in Sheffield in 1953 and began his working life at Track Marshall of Gainsborough as a Salesman. Here, he met his future wife Gail who was secretary to the Managing Director. Steve later moved to Rogers of Kettering where he stayed until he joined Ankers at Ellington in 2001 and was very soon promoted to Sales Manager. He was then asked to look after not only the Ellington depot in Huntingdon but also the depot at Coates near Peterborough. In 2013, the business was sold to Ben Burgess and Steve continued to manage both depots until December 2018 when the new Ben Burgess Ellington site was opened, allowing Steve to focus all of his attention and energy on the Coates depot. Steve’s meticulous attention to detail was his trademark. He worked closely with John Deere often on testing new equipment in the field and personally dealt directly with a number of large farmers in the area with whom he had a very good relationship.
Steve was very proud of his family and sadly leaves behind his wife Gail, son James, daughter Nichola, son-in-law Ben and two Grandchildren Joshua and Noah. He will be greatly missed by all his colleagues and friends at Ben Burgess.
Steve’s funeral service will be held on Friday 26th April 2019, 1pm at All Saints Church, Station Road, Rushton, Kettering NN14 1RL, followed by a reception at Rushton Hall.
Steve’s family have requested donations in lieu of flowers, to be made to Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance.
