Three Peaks 24 Hour Challenge in aid of Quidenham Children’s Hospice.
Three colleagues from the Ben Burgess agricultural workshop at Norwich have decided to attempt the gruelling task of scaling the three highest peaks in England, Scotland and Wales in 24 hours.
Tom Cooper, Peter Fairhead and Robert Hudson will be climbing the three mountains, with Nick Wilby driving.
They have collectively worked as technicians at Ben Burgess for nearly 60 years.
Quidenham is a local children’s hospital - part of EACH (East Anglia’s Children Hospices). The government only provides a small proportion of their budget - the vast majority comes from fund raising and donations and we all feel this is very worthy cause.
They climbed Scafell Pike in October 2010 as a taster, with relative success, and are now in a fairly flexible training routine and looking forward to the imposing challenge ahead of them.
They will be driving to Fort William on the 17th May 2011 to climb the first mountain, Ben Nevis, on May 18th. Following this they will then be driving down to Scafell Pike and finally to Snowdon - hopefully finishing within the 24 hours.
All your donations will be gratefully received and if you wish to make a pledge please see the contact details below:
